What is SPORTING GEOGRAPHY?
SPORTING GEOGRAPHY is an educational activity kit that complements social studies curriculum objectives in grades four through eight. This SPORTING GEOGRAPHY kit provides teachers with reproducible lesson plans and desk maps that can be used at any time.
How does it work?
The idea of SPORTING GEOGRAPHY is to make learning geography fun.
Students use the lesson plans to learn about sports, geography,
and a current event like the NCAA Division II National Championship
Festival. The program motivates students to learn in a fun way using
sports as the focus.
As part of the SPORTING GEOGRAPHY program we would like all classes to take part in our Adopt-a-Team program. Click on the Adopt-a-Team page to find out more information on how you can Adopt-a-Team during the NCAA Division II National Championships Festival.
We will be updating this page often with all the latest news about the SPORTING GEOGRAPHY program, check back often!
